A TFSA, an RRSP, maybe an FHSA and a margin account. TrackQ puts them in one number: what it's all worth, what it has gained, and what it pays you.

TrackQ reads every account your [Questrade token](/guides/questrade-api-token/) can see: TFSA, RRSP, FHSA, margin, cash and the rest. It adds them into one portfolio, and keeps each account visible underneath.

## One total

Overview opens on your total equity across every account, and your all-time gain on what you paid. Under it: gain plus dividends, a year of dividend income, market value, deposits this year, cash and today's move. Then a value chart, the accounts, your allocation and how each holding has done.

## Each account

Every account shows its value, gain, positions, cost and share of the whole. With TrackQ Pro you can leave an account out of every total (a spouse's account, an RESP you don't count) or give it a nickname.

## Holdings across accounts

A fund held in both your TFSA and RRSP shows once in Holdings, with its weight in the whole portfolio. Open it (TrackQ Pro) to see how many shares sit in each account and what they are worth there.

## How it's counted

- **Gain** is market value against what you paid, per holding and in total. Gain plus dividends adds the dividends from the last 12 months.
- **Today** is the sum of Questrade's own day change on each position. A deposit or shares transferred in never show up as a gain.
- **Currency.** Totals are in Canadian dollars, converted at the USD/CAD rate Questrade reports with your balances.
- **Value history.** Questrade doesn't share past values, so TrackQ saves one each time it refreshes. Your chart starts on the day you connect.

## What it doesn't do

TrackQ doesn't track contribution room. It shows money in and out this year, month by month, which helps you check it against your own records. It doesn't show live quotes either: prices come with your positions each time it refreshes.

## Private by design

Your accounts go from Questrade to your iPhone or iPad and nowhere else. There is no TrackQ server, no sign-up and no analytics in the app, and it is read-only.
